A hub is a group of young people across race and class working together in their community to stop the climate crisis and win a Green New Deal. Hubs are one of the basic units of organization within Sunrise Movement. They play a critical role in building our movement’s people and political power.

There are 3 types of hubs:
- Chapters – the strongest community hubs that have reached at least 30+ active members and meet other criteria
- Community Hubs – hubs who based in a municipality typically have 5 – 30 active members
- Student Hubs – hubs who typically have at least 5 active members who are all a part of the same educational institution
