As climate disasters increasingly threaten our livelihoods, we often find ourselves thinking about our impact and legacy. A will is important for everyone and affirms your commitment to the people and causes that are important to you. If you are also thinking about your legacy or revising your will or estate plans, we hope you will consider making Sunrise a beneficiary of any of the following types of accounts to continue making a critical impact on the climate movement:

Bequests are also a popular way to support an organization. You can name a percentage or give all or part of what is remaining after payment of debts, expenses, and other specific bequests.

If you would like to make such a gift to Sunrise Movement (the 501(c)(4)), your attorney can include language similar to the following:

“I give _ [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] to Sunrise Movement, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization registered in Washington D.C. As of April 2022, Sunrise Movement has its main address as 712 H St NE, Unit #626, Washington, DC 20002. Sunrise Movement’s tax exempt identification number (EIN) is 82-1232167.
